Youth Apprenticeship paves way for adult apprentice program
Even for students who enroll in the Youth Apprenticeship program simply because they want to get out of classes and make some money, the experience can change the course of their lives.
That was the case for Dustin Behnke, a 2010 graduate of Lincoln High School. Behnke didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life, but he liked the idea of spending part of the school day on the job. He enrolled in the two-year manufacturing machining YA program, working at Jagemann Stamping.
