New ownership, old favorites in place at Leicht’s Waldo Café
Sheboygan County, WI – Among the main goals of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay are to supply keen insight, useful tools, and proven knowledge to assist budding entrepreneurs in realizing their business-ownership dreams. With the SCEDC and the SBDC at UW-Green Bay playing a key guiding role, Parnell native Christina Leicht, along with her husband Brad, who grew up in rural Sheboygan Falls, recently assumed ownership of the newly renamed Leicht’s Waldo Café, located at 235 North Depot St. in Waldo.
Little Owls Expands the Conventions of Sheboygan County Childcare
Sheboygan County, WI – The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) works with local entrepreneurs to encourage investment in community-identified markets. One market that has been identified is childcare, specifically, second and third shift childcare options. The SCEDC and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay has assisted Yer Xiong of Little Owls Childcare Center in developing a business plan to start her new childcare facility at 5934 South Business Drive in the town of Wilson.

Sheboygan, WI – The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) announced today the hiring of Brian Doudna as the new SCEDC Executive Director. Doudna comes to Sheboygan County after six successful years as the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA), a statewide trade association that represents the interests of economic development professionals.

Town of Sheboygan creates 500-acre TID
Town of Sheboygan, WI – The Town of Sheboygan in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin has created its first Tax Incremental District (TID), a progressive stance on economic development as there are only 22 township TID’s in Wisconsin’s history. The Town of Sheboygan TID covers 509 acres straddling the intersection of Interstate 43 and State Highway 42.
