City of Sheboygan's unemployment rate falls to 8 percent
Sheboygan's unemployment rate fell to 8 percent in April, down from 8.9 percent the month before, according to figures released Wednesday from the state Department of Workforce Development.
The city's jobless rate was 12th highest when compared to the state's 31 largest municipalities. A year ago, the rate was 9.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan County's unemployment rate fell to 6.4 percent in April, down from 7.3 percent from March. A year ago, the county's jobless rate was 7.8 percent.
